The Elora Festival has produced many fine musical moments, but what Noel Edison has accomplished with the Festival Singers is truly something to marvel at. This 2006 release is dedicated entirely to the choral works of 'Canadian' composer Healey Willan. Willan moved from Englad to Canada when he was 33, and dominated the Canadian Choral scene. He became quintessetially Canadian. Featured here are some of his most well-known works including his most famous piece 'Rise up, My Love'. This disc is a perfect of example of Willan's mastery of the Choral genre. Celebrate Healey Willan with this great Canadian Choir!
