A swingin' Christmas indeed! This album features the Count Basie Big Band in a program of Christmas tunes. A favourite of ours, this disc swings like you wouldn't believe while featuring some great arrangements by the inimitable Bill Holman. Monty Alexander takes the piano chair and really digs while supporting this great band. Toots Thielemans even makes and appearance on All I Want For Christmas Is You. Tony Bennett is in fine form, his voice has great depth, and he really takes hold of these melodies like only Mr. Bennett can. A must have for the lead-up to the holiday season!
