Born in France, in 1967, into a family of gypsy origin, Ginesa Ortega has her home in Barcelona. From her earliest years she has been bound up totally in the world of Flamenco, starting singing at the age of 12. Since that time she has taken part in the most important festivals, given numerous recitals and attained a number of awards in her chosen field of music.
