In the process of Analogue Productions' remastering of this album as it was originally mixed to master tape, they discovered that nearly every version of this title released to date (including the original from 1963), had had the channels reversed. In addition to correcting this error, the present recording features the kind of restorative sonic magic one has come to expect from APO. Little needs to be said about this amazing album, which made the bossa nova style a permanent part of the jazz canon.
